IPAV is an Awarding Member Association of The Group of European Valuers’ Associations (TEGOVA), the pan European Association of professional bodies working for standards, ethics and quality in the real estate valuation market and representing the interests of qualified valuers from professional bodies throughout European Countries.
IPAV is the only professional Institute in Ireland which has awarding rights to administer the REV and TRV status, as governed by TEGOVA.
IPAV REV & TRV members have adopted the European Valuation Standards of the “Blue Book”, the standard now recognised by the Irish and European Central Banks for which they hold default status if any valuation conflict arises.
TRV status is the mark of excellence in residential valuation, demonstrating to international and local clients that the residential valuer is qualified to a consistent high European standard of practice.
IPAV is the only professional Institute in Ireland which has awarding rights to administer the REV status, as governed by TEGOVA. IPAV provides a complete TEGOVA CPD programme throughout the year for TRV Members.
Through IPAV’s membership of the European Association of Real Estate Professions (CEPI), IPAV members are automatically granted membership of CEPI, which represents over estate agents throughout Europe. IPAV members are entitled to use the designatory letters MMCEPI.
IPAV’s online social presence helps to publicise and promote articles specific to our industry and relate relevant information and news, while making IPAV more visible to its members and the public.
Non-refundable application fee of €100.00 is payable via IPAV’s online application.
Fee Waived:
Graduates of IPAV’s Higher Certificate in Business in Real Estate, Valuation, Sale & Management Level 6 (120 ECTS) are not required to pay the Non-Refundable application fee. To avail of this offer, graduates must apply for membership within 2 years of gaining their qualification.
Graduates who hold an academic property related qualification, Level 6 or higher in the National Framework of Qualifications can avail of this offer within 2 years of attaining their qualification. Applicants should contact IPAV to confirm if their qualification meets the criteria.
Dual Applicants are not required to the pay the Non-Refundable application fee.
IPAV membership carries a professional quality assurance that is recognised throughout the property industry, associated professionals, and the public. Members are awarded the designatory letters MIPAV, and, with relevant valuation experience, can be awarded the designation Certified Valuer, MIPAV (CV).
IPAV is an influential body at legislative level working collaboratively with all public representatives, decision makers and decision influencers to inform policy and bring market insight from every corner of the country.
IPAV established an informal cross-party Oireachtas Committee on Property Market Reform, working with all stakeholders, so that industry expertise can be leveraged to help relieve some of the blockages in the system.
IPAV also engage with regulators and others for the betterment of the profession and industry.
Members’ contributions are essential to this entire process, be it submissions to Government, contributions to Oireachtas Committees or other forums.

The Young Professionals Network (YPN) was set up 2016 to support the younger generation of Estate Agents and Valuers build a stronger link with IPAV and the real estate industry in general.
