An opportunity now exists in Dublin City Council for the position of Senior Valuer. 

The City Valuers Office is part of the Planning, Property, Enterprise and Economic Development Department.  It provides a comprehensive valuation and property advice service to all City Council Departments.  Key areas covered include Housing delivery, Urban Regeneration, Vacancy and Dereliction, preparing Development Appraisals and Development Agreements, Acquisitions and Disposals, Leasing and Lettings, Rent Reviews, Compulsory Purchase and many functions in the City Centre area.  Dublin City Council’s City Valuers Office also provides a full valuation service to the Dublin Regional Homeless Executive, Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council, Fingal County Council and South Dublin County Council.  There are ever increasing demands on the Council’s ability to deliver the property solutions required to achieve critical objectives for Dublin, at national and local levels. 

Reporting directly to the Chief Valuer, or such designated Officer as may be determined from time to time, the Senior Valuer will lead a multi-disciplinary team within the City Valuers Office, the Planning and Property Development Department and the Housing Department. They will provide reports and advice to the Chief Valuer and the team, deliver a programme of valuation and development type work, and will provide professional advice generally, at a high level, to the wider City Council and client authorities on all valuation, Housing Delivery, urban development, and property matters.
